01
The details you want
before you apply
This is not an audition for a fully polished host. We will create a pilot with people who notice what they love and can explain why, then discuss fixed-cast or guest participation based on the chemistry.
- FORMAT
- On-camera video show · fixed cast or guest
- ELIGIBILITY
- Women ages 20–39 · all ages within the range are considered equally
- SHOOT
-
Dates are confirmed after checking everyone’s availability.
2–4 sessions per month · about 3 hours per session · weekday evenings or weekends · studio on the main Songridan-gil street near Seokchon and Jamsil stations · local transportation reimbursed - LANGUAGE
- English, Japanese, Chinese, or Korean · choose more than one if applicable
- AFTER PILOT
- Participation format and subsequent terms discussed separately after the pilot shoot
- RESPONSE
- Phone-interview candidates are contacted individually within five business days
Students and working professionals are welcome. We coordinate schedules in advance. A stage name, keeping your employer private, and potential conflicts involving brands you work with can be discussed during the phone interview and planning meeting.
This is a casting call, not an offer of employment. Before filming, we will provide and discuss written terms covering the appearance, use of image and voice, derivative edits, publishing channels, and publication period.
02
Who we would
love to meet
What matters most
- You are a woman age 20–39 who is curious about fashion, music, celebrities, brands, beauty, memes, and culture
- You send interesting TikToks, Instagram posts, or YouTube clips to friends as soon as you find them
- You have a point of view—“Why is this suddenly everywhere?” or “I really do not get the hype”
- You can hold a natural, unscripted conversation in at least one application language
- You listen well and can turn a different opinion into a better conversation
- You can attend in-person planning meetings and shoots in Seoul
Helpful, but not required
- Experience with social media, YouTube, video shows, podcasts, livestreams, performance, or broadcasting
- A long-running interest in fashion, music, fandom, comedy, retail, brands, or another cultural field
- An instinct for the difference between what is trending online and what is actually growing in real life
- The ability to create a mood with a reaction, expression, or one memorable sentence
Broadcast experience and follower count are not important. We value curiosity, taste, a point of view, and chemistry with other cast members.
03
The show we want
to make
Faster than the news.
Smarter than gossip.
The celebrity everyone is talking about, a brand suddenly appearing everywhere, a strange TikTok trend, a new sneaker, fashion and beauty, music and memes. We select what is actually worth discussing, move quickly, and occasionally stop for a deeper look. This is not a show that explains Korea to the world. It is a show that looks at what the world is talking about—from Seoul, with a slightly different perspective.
CONTENT TYPES
What we talk about
The final segments and balance will be shaped with the cast after we see everyone’s interests and chemistry during the pilot.
WHAT'S HAPPENING
A fast tour of the week’s most discussable stories in fashion, celebrity, music, brands, and the internet.
FASHION · CELEBRITY · INTERNETHOT OR NOT
New looks, products, campaigns, collaborations, and memes—plus the honest reason we like them or do not.
BUY · SKIP · COOL · CRINGEWAIT, THIS ACTUALLY MATTERS
Stories that seem small at first but reveal a real change in culture or how people consume.
SIGNAL · CONTEXT · WHY NOWSEOUL SIGNAL
Brands, styles, beauty, spaces, and behaviors appearing in Seoul that could become the next global signal.
SEOUL · ASIA · NEXTOur standard
We do more than list what is trending. We separate real signals from PR-made hype and explain why something matters—or does not. We do not cover unverified private lives or malicious rumors, and we distinguish fact from cast opinion. This show is not designed to promote Lukuku clients; any advertising or sponsorship will be clearly disclosed. We also avoid sensitive political, religious, or international-conflict topics that cast members do not wish to discuss.

Why is Lukuku
making this show?
Lukuku is a Shopify Plus partner that has helped Korean brands meet customers around the world.
Working where global storefronts, content, and consumer response meet has taught us to keep asking what is really moving. Now Lukuku’s content studio is expanding that curiosity beyond beauty into an independent video show about fashion, music, brands, celebrities, and internet culture.

Frequently asked
questions
Can I participate while working or studying?
Yes. We check availability first and coordinate schedules. You are responsible for confirming any employer or school rules regarding outside activities.
Can non-Korean citizens apply?
Yes. Any procedures needed for filming and collaboration may depend on your visa or residency status, so we confirm this during the phone interview before proceeding.
Which language should I use in the application?
Use whichever of English, Japanese, Chinese, or Korean feels most comfortable. Select every language in which you can hold a natural conversation.
Do I need broadcast experience or a large following?
No. We care more about taste, curiosity, a point of view, and chemistry with other cast members than numbers or credentials.
What can I send as supporting material?
A 30-second self-introduction, Reel, TikTok, YouTube link, performance or broadcast clip, or short profile is enough. Supporting material is optional.
Where will the content be published, and may I share it?
The show may be edited into long-form video, audio, and short-form clips for new content channels. Platforms, publication period, sharing on your channels, and access to original footage are discussed in writing before filming.
Why are you currently casting women?
This reflects the cast direction for the first season. There is no preference among applicants from their early twenties through their late thirties.
When will I hear back?
Phone-interview candidates are contacted individually within five business days. The casting call closes once the appropriate cast has been confirmed.
